Bluetooth Streamer Pro troubleshooting and FAQ
Start by proving that your receiver already handles ordinary phone calls. Then isolate audio routing, volume, and competing connections. The app depends on HFP behavior supplied by the phone and receiver, so successful calling does not guarantee streaming.
Why is there no sound after I turn streaming on?
Confirm that an ordinary phone call plays through the target receiver, select its phone or hands-free source, disconnect competing Bluetooth devices, and check volume on both the phone and receiver. If call audio itself fails, repair that connection before testing the app.
- Stop streaming and place a normal test call while parked.
- Verify the call uses the intended receiver.
- End the call, disconnect other Bluetooth audio devices, and reopen the app.
- Turn streaming on and test low-volume spoken audio.
- Restart both devices if routing remains stuck; re-pair only after these simpler checks.
Why does the audio sound like a phone call?
That is an expected HFP limitation. The profile is intended for speech and two-way calls, not high-fidelity music. Audio is generally mono and lower fidelity than an A2DP media connection.
If the stereo offers a true Bluetooth music or media source, use it instead. Read the HFP vs. A2DP comparison.
Why does audio stop or disconnect?
A real call, another paired device, receiver timeout, app background restrictions, or operating-system behavior can end the route. Reconnect after the interruption and test whether disabling battery restrictions permitted by your phone improves stability.
Do not disable safety features or change settings while driving. Updates may change behavior even on a previously working setup.
Does it work with every car, headset, or hearing device?
No. The receiver must support a compatible HFP call connection, and its implementation must allow the required route to remain active. We do not maintain a guaranteed model list.
For hearing devices, follow the manufacturer’s pairing and safety guidance. Bluetooth Streamer Pro is an audio-routing app, not a medical device, and should not replace accessibility or safety-critical alerts.
What happens when a real call arrives?
A real call can interrupt or stop the streaming session. The exact result depends on the phone and receiver. Confirm normal call handling before driving and resume other audio only when safe.
Why is the volume too low or too loud?
HFP call volume may be controlled separately from media volume. While audio is active and the vehicle is parked, adjust the phone and receiver gradually. Avoid sudden high levels, especially with headsets or hearing devices.
How do I request support?
Use the contact support page. Include your phone model, operating-system version, receiver type, whether normal calls work, and the steps you tried. Do not send passwords, payment details, private audio, or other sensitive information.
